1993 Range Rover Classic Vogue 4.2 LSE. Long Wheelbase Hard Dash Beautiful condition - 114,000 miles Immaculate Engine Interior & Underside Classic Ardennes Green / Saddle Tan Leather One of the nicest series 1 cars you will find The timeless classic Drive it for a day and all other four-wheel drive tools are considered pointless and stupid by comparison. The iconic agricultural looks that are as chic in Soho as they are remarkable and irrelevant on muddy trails the world over, a vehicle that will take you literally anywhere and back.

Its also the type of classic Land Rover that features strongly in the general publics perception of the brand due to its many appearances in popular films and television documentaries set in Africa and India throughout history. The word iconic only tells half the story. The Range Rover classic is one of the top influential cars of the 20th century.

The initial concept of a high-performance car that was as capable on the road as off it was so right and so far ahead of its time - that it has spawned every upmarket suv, crossover and four-wheel-drive estate car designed ever since. The rare classic LSE produced in limited numbers is in a different class to the rest of the Range Rover range; Fully loaded, the extra eight inches in the wheelbase are all in the rear cabin, giving huge amounts of legroom. Unique to the LSE is a 4.2-litre 200bhp derivative of the 3.9-litre v8 which goes some way towards making the big off roader easier to use.

The bigger capacity engine accelerates like it means it, without the thrashy wheezing that accompany the 3.9's exertions. In the crucial middle rev- ranges, the overtaking band, the extra oomph is most keenly felt, and most greatly appreciated.

Just as important, it brings a relaxed gait and peacefulness to motorway cruising, which is aided by substantial improvements in the soundproofing over the standard model. Body / Chassis The Ardennes green coachwork is in very good condition, with even panel gaps and flanks that are completely free of ripples. The paintwork still has a deep sheen to it with the odd mark of little consequence, the majority of the paintwork looking to be factory original.

The area around the lower rear seatbelt mounts is solid, the steel tailgate is solid too. Both are notorious for rusting through and the absence of rust and rot is a very good indicator that the vehicle has been looked after and not abused. A look underneath reveals the notoriously troublesome air suspension has been replaced with coil springs. The vehicle has been professionally undersealed, a top-quality job that should help the vehicle last many years. Take the time to carefully look at the many images of the underside, this is what sets this car firmly apart from the rest that are generally knackered underneath.

There are many pictures below of the underside to show the great condition. Engine The big v8 starts off the key and is silent when revved, no nasty noises or surprises in store.

The engine bay is the cleanest one I have ever seen. Recently been treated to a complete major service with all fluids and belts being changed. I have covered in excess of 150 miles in the car and it holds temperature perfectly, has great oil pressure and changes gear smoothly.

Again the engine bay and underside of the bonnet have been sealed and preserved, pictured below. Interior The tan leather seats show almost no wear at all, not even on the lower edge of the drivers seat. They are, quite simply, in remarkable condition and need nothing doing to them.

The door cards and extensive wooden veneer trim is all in great condition too; This is clearly a car that has been pampered throughout the years. The carpets appear to have been protected by overmats as theyre in fantastic, original condition too.

Even the plastic insert under the drivers feet is in pristine condition. I do have a complete set of rubber branded overmats front to rear, and, a plastic boot cargo tray. Alloys The alloy wheels are painted in the same shade of green as the bodywork, and theyre immaculate. The tyres, which are a matching set, all have lots of tread. Known faults Really in superb order, there are just a couple of niggles..

The original radio does not seem to working, the driver seat adjust switches do not work in any direction fuse? , there is a little dent on the driver door by the handle and a little scratch on the osr door which has been touched in. There's a little blistering in the paint on the bonnet by the letter R, the cruise control appears to be inoperative and the a/c does not blow cold, it blows hot air just fine but only on speed 3.

Lastly, and we are being picky here to disclose everything, the electric mirrors are not working electrically but of course can be set manually. Overall, it's very good and is much better that it sounds above and there is nothing that spoils the enjoyment of the car at all. They all have a list of issues, disclosed or not. These are minor and of little consequence to the overall condition of the car.

Summary Lovely condition rare Range Rover in natural great condition, this is not a restored car. The drive is simply fantastic with no knocks shudders or grumbles from the suspension, the steering is tight and the brakes are sharp. It'll sit at 70mph happily just ticking over and it'll go literally anywhere you point it. A superb appreciating classic that I wish I could keep for myself.
