I've replaced the front suspension, used genuine Delphi airbags/struts, new upper/lower suspension arms, track rod ends & Drop links. Brembo front Discs and pads were fitted and a replacement of the secondary fuel pump which is a common failure on the TD6.
I changed the gearbox oil/ filter in 2014 for good measure (using the correct Texamatic 7045E oil) the transfer box oil in 2015 and both the diffs had new oil in 2018. The engine oil was done yearly, as was fuel filter/air filter, pollen filter. The oil was last done around April 2018 (only done around 4/5K miles since) I have changed the crankcase breather filter twice during my ownership to be on the safe side, a well documented issue with the M57 BMW lump it can cause the turbo to blow if overlooked due to the excess pressure. Both rear height sensors have been changed very recently. Please remember she is a 2002 car, nearly 18 years old and not new.
Interior wise she is in excellent condition, however, some wear showing on the steering wheel and on the drivers seat base but no holes rips or tears, Some few marks inside the boot on the D pillars from loads. No nasty smells, not smoked in or had animals in. Carpets are in superb condition (it has had matts down) the tinted windows have a few marks in the back, the front passenger window has some marks on the tint too. She's 18 years old, she is not an immaculate example but is certainly presentable in my opinion. Has a little bit rust on the tailgate which had a previous cheap repair and has a little sticker covering it over now (pictured) a few rust bubbles showing on the N/S/R arch quarter panel and N/S/R door where the door meets the arch, a little bit of paint is cracking on the N/S/R door and some'orange peel' affect on the N/S/R quarter panel. The rest of the panels are straight with only minor age related marks. The 20 alloys are in OK condition, they do have some marks here and there but in keeping with the age/mileage (the worst is the N/S/F with some scratches) Both Front tyres have excellent tread, the rear two tyres are part worn, the OSR is quite worn on the inner edge but still legal. There is a dent towards the rear of the N/S chrome step. The Air suspension is inactive. One of the rear height sensors arms snapped, the other wasn't looking too clever so decided to change them both. The air suspension was working perfectly up until this point. The diagnostics error showing was " articulation validity" I changed both the rear height sensors, cleared the fault, drove off down the road get over 25MPH and the fault re-appears. Reading into it further, the new height sensors can require calibrating which my diagnostics can not do. I can however clear the fault, show you it's all working fine in access mode to off road height. But when you go back over 25MPH the fault WILL reappear and shut down the air suspension system. It holds its height, it drives absolutely fine, doesn't leak air or drop down onto the bump stops, just throws the message on the dash and you are unable to adjust it until the faults is cleared or ideally sorted out and fixed.
The power fold mirrors fold in but won't stay folded in, they fold back out again. The Rear washer doesn't work (the rear wiper works fine though).
A few pixels are missing on the dash. Passenger side cup holder in dash doesn't'Spring out' - very common.
Front parking sensors are fine, occasionally the rears play up (tends to be when wet). Front and rear sub frames have surface rust which was advised at the MOT, tester said they could do with a wire brushing down and coating in a preservative.
I have been completely honest with the description, She is a lovely L322 with low miles for the year and a long MOT, fitted with the uber reliable BMW M57 6 cylinder lump the engine starts first time every time, she drives very nice and smoothly, the comfiest car I have owned for sure, pretty economical given the size and weight - on a run you can just squeeze 30MPG out of her (actual real life figure, computer says 33) LOW range engages fine, everything else to my knowledge works fine apart from the bits disclosed above and I have priced it taking all this into account. I have about 15L left of the correct Texamatic auto gearbox oil and a new filter/gasket for a gearbox service which can go with the car too. Car is located in Stotfold, Bedfordshire 5 mins from A1M J10. Viewings are most welcome, as are any questions/queries with anything I have missed.
